The Holy Family High Specialty Hospital
Established in 2007 in Rzeszów, the hospital is constantly developing and practically every year it expands its range of services with new specializations. Initially, these were services in the field of orthopedics and general surgery. As the demand for highly specialized medical services is constantly growing, in 2012 three new, modernly equipped departments were opened: Internal Diseases, Neurology with Stroke and Rehabilitation. The Department of Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging was supplemented with the laboratories of Magnetic Resonance and Computed Tomography. In 2013, the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care was established, and the Department of Rehabilitation was expanded to include neurological rehabilitation. The Department of Thoracic Surgery (Thoracic Surgery) was opened in December 2014.
Today it’s one of the largest private hospitals in the south of Poland, offering comprehensive treatment of diseases and injuries of the osteoarticular and muscular systems, with focus on minimally invasive surgical procedures of the hand, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and spine.
Orthopedic and Traumatology
In the department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, comprehensive treatment of diseases and injuries of the osteoarticular and muscular systems is carried out. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of minimally invasive surgical procedures in the area of: shoulder, elbow, knee, ankle (arthroscopy) and spine.
Doctors constantly improve their qualifications and use the best possible methods in surgical and conservative treatment. They also successfully use innovative medical techniques and achievements of bio-engineering of materials, mainly in the reconstruction of bone defects and articular cartilage defects.
The hospital specializes in endoprosthetics of the joints: hip, knee, shoulder, brachioradial, and recently also foot joints. We also offer patients a full spectrum of treatments in the field of spinal injuries and diseases, as well as in-depth diagnosis and treatment of back pain syndrome (primary, secondary). The cooperation with leading prosthetics manufacturers allows to offer the patients individual solutions.
As one of the few in Poland, the Hospital offers innovative solutions for injury and post-surgery recovery, so called vacuum-assisted closure for wound healing and ozone therapy as well as advanced techniques to deal with the postoperative pain and swelling like the Game Ready ® system with active compression to accelerate recovery from physical exertion.
Bioabsorbable Magnezix implants made of magnesium alloy are used for implantation. Magnezix has the mechanical properties of a metal, but is gradually biodegraded in the body and is completely replaced by your own bone tissue. This is a unique solution, thanks to which it is not necessary to repeat the metal removal operation.
The Hospital successfully applies innovative regenerative medicine techniques and bioengineering in the reconstruction of bone and articular cartilage, treatments of joint degeneration with Cellular Matrix ™ periarticular blockages and stem cell therapy with LIPOGEMS growth factors.

Rehabilitation

Comprehensive inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation is carried out by a qualified team of medical rehabilitation physicians and physiotherapy specialists based on personalized programs. Orthopedic rehabilitation in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and spine diseases. The hospital has also developed dedicated orthopedic rehabilitation programs, as part of the treatment of: rotator cuff injuries, instability of the shoulder joint, endoprosthetic of the hip and knee joints, after reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and disc herniation.
The neurological rehabilitation is directed to patients who suffered from strokes, craniocerebral injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, spinocerebellar ataxia, cerebellar diseases, polyneuropathy, muscular dystrophies, Parkinson’s disease, or after neurosurgical procedures. The objective is to determine the optimal method of therapy for a specific patient, which will facilitate his rapid recovery.
